A Rare Silver, Enamel & Lapis Lazuli Ostrich, Vienna Circa 1890
This is a very rare and large example of a late 19th century silver, enamel and lapis lazuli ostrich. This examples has wonderful outspread jewelled wings, tail feathers and thighs with a rich blue and white enamel over a feathered silver ground.The body is paved in lapis lazul.
