Maker’s Mark AH, star above crescent below in shaped shield, probably for Abraham Hinde
Length: 8 ¼ in. (20.5 cm.)
Weight: 26 oz. 12 dwt. (828 gr.)

Oval and on four scroll feet. The sides lobed within foliate cartouches, the low domed hinged cover chased with conforming lobes against an acanthus matted ground, enclosing a calyx of acanthus and centred with a serpent ring finial, with pierced hasp. The underside engraved K over W*R, marked inside base and on cover beneath finial, also with maker's mark inside cover.
