Description

In the 8th century style with rectangular cut corners, the cage-work mounts chased and enamelled with trailing leaves and flowers on a matted ground. The corners with white pellets, containing miniatures painted en grisaille after Boucher. The lid with putti playing with a goat, the base representing Industry, the sides with further putti at play. The box with a gold lining and hallmarked with modern French eagle head control marks
