Oval, all sides enamelled en plein with shaped enamel cartouches representing genre scenes, after Teniers, within chased and engraved scrollwork border formerly enamelled in translucent dark green, the sides further decorated with dividers formed of small inset enamel plaques painted with fern on a pale grey background, the base enamelled with a genre scene of a couple drinking, with a young man playing the mandolin to the left
