This exceptional cup & saucer of circular form. The saucer on a low pedestal foot and decorated with Chinoiserie flat-chasing depicting a gentleman and attendant holding a sunshade amongst foliage with a bird flying overhead. The scene within a matted band. The circular cup flat-chased with exotic ho-ho birds and berried foliage, it too with a matted band near base.
The cup hall marked with maker's mark only under the base and also with the scratch weight 6=2, the saucer fully hallmarked under the base and with the scratch weight 8=15
