Charles Faberge
This business, the London branch of the celebrated Russian house of Peter Carl Faberge (1846-1920) about whom so much has been written elsewhere, was established in 1903 by Arthur Bowe. At first Bowe set up a contact office in the Berners Hotel, 6 & 7 Berners Street, W, before moving to Portman House, 415 Oxford Street, W, where he is listed under his own name, jeweller.
