Director’s Choice – Jewellery latest acquisitions

It has been some time since I last wrote about our jewellery, and this feels like the perfect moment to share our latest acquisitions and what we will be debuting at Stand 166at TEFAF Maastricht which runs from the 14th-19th March. Reflecting on the past few years, there have been distinct shifts in taste and, consequently, in the pieces we have chosen to acquire year on year.

We will also be exhibiting at The Original Miami Beach Show at Stand 426 from 26th March - 1st April.

While I still select every jewel personally (and, of course, try each one on), our focus has evolved a couple of times over the past 5 year. What began with a sole focus on antique jewels gradually moved towards a later, more vintage aesthetic; bold, sculptural pieces in substantial gold. There was a huge rise in popularity in pieces such as the Bulgari “Monete” and heavy gold bracelets. Now, however, I find myself drawn once again to earlier pieces, particularly those from the early 20th century. There is a renewed appreciation for delicacy and refinement, and collectors seem to be seeking jewels that embody subtlety, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.
