Koopman Rare Art will be proudly exhibiting an important collection of silver from the Regency period; one of the most interesting and complex periods in British decorative arts. The highlight will be the Shield of Achilles which is one of the most influential works of art in history. In addition to this exhibition, Koopman Rare Art will be hosting a book launch for "Europe Divided: Huguenot Refugee Art & Culture", written by Dr Tessa Murdoch and published the Victoria and Albert Museum, on Wednesday, 1st December 2021, between 12.00 and 4.30 pm. The book focuses on Huguenot refugees, their history and impact. A curated selection of pieces by prominent Huguenot silversmiths will also be on display for the duration of the London Art Week.
