Koopman Rare Art is one of the world’s leading dealers specialising in antique silver, gold boxes and objets de vertu. The company was founded by brothers Jacques and Eddy Koopman in 1952 and has traded from its London galleries at the entrance to The London Silver Vaults on Chancery Lane since 1969. We specialise in antique English silver, seeking the finest quality works especially by the Royal Goldsmiths Rundell Bridge & Rundell. Art in the Industry: The Silver of Paul Storr
This is the first book to be devoted to Paul Storr since the appearance of N.M. Penzer’s classic work Paul Storr: the Last of the Goldsmiths, in 1954, it offers a reassessment of Storr’s life and work. “We can see the personality of Storr emerge from his business dealings, and from the silver he produced,” remarks Hartop, the author of eight books on antique silver. “Storr’s amazing achievement was the sheer scale of his activity, and the ingenious way he merged creative talent and cutting-edge technology. Koopman Rare Art sponsored this publication as part of their continued effort to support the heritage of antique silver and important London silversmiths such as Paul Storr.
