the bombé body boldly embossed and chased with three standing birds among large flowers, caryatid scroll handles, the reversible low domed cover chased to match with three smaller birds among flowers, flat reel-shaped finial, the body and cover engraved with a late 18th century script monogram DAD, fully marked on base and cover, the finial also with lion passant.
