The compressed domed lids with pineapple finials, chased with scrolls and flower heads, with silver gilt interior on cylindrical stems and domed feet.
No record of apprenticeship or freedom. Mark entered as a large worker, 28th February 1745. Address 'de karner Gre den kort', annotated by Charles Fletcher countersigning the entry at 'Deans Court St Martins Lee Grand'. Heal records him here as a plate worker, 1741-8 and he appears as such in the Parl. report list 1773. His son William was apprenticed to Thomas Symonds. He is listed by Evans as a Huguenot. Possibly of Flemish or German descent.
