A retro ceylon sapphire, emerald and diamond necklace, circa 1940
The articulated necklace is designed as a series of sculpted bow links, each centred by a circular-cut diamond, interspersed with gold circular links further accented by circular-cut diamonds. The front suspends a fringe of oval-shaped Ceylon sapphires and graduated emerald bead drops, all set in 18k yellow gold.
The weights of the sapphires: 2.85, 3.59, 3.61, 3.59, 8.38, 4.86, 3.61, 3.88, 2.26 carats
