First mark entered as a largeworker 3rd May 1734. Address: Hemings Row, near St Martin's Lane, signs 'Jean Jacob'. Second mark, 20 June 1739. Moved to Spur Street, 'lestre fil' (Leceister Fields), 7th July 1760. Still at that address, as plate worker, in the Parlaiment Report list 1773. Heal also records him at the Acorn, Panton Street, near Leicester Fields, 1768. Married Anne, daughter of Augustine Courtauld, 1738. Listed by Evans as Huguenot.
