The Spanish cities of Valladolid and Burgos, were the two main important centres, within Old Castile, of metalwork production. Each of baluster form, bellied at the mid-point, profusely embossed with foliate and shell scrolls, each issuing four chased scrolling arms supporting panelled sconces on scalloped trays, both hanging from a foliate openwork chain, ring attachments.
