The tazza resting on a renaissance style foot, the border mount of the dish with a band of enamelled scrolling acanthus and flowering cornucopia. The border also with four hermae formed as maidens carrying reeded baskets of abundant fruit on their heads. The central bust with a raised rose to its centre and a decorative enamelled band mirroring the border.
Karl Rössler entered business in Vienna in 1890 and is recorded at various addresses until 1908. Following the example of Hermann Ratzersdorfer, whose enamel and mounted crystal objects had attracted much attention at the 1873 Vienna World Exhibition.
