A 1940s gold and ruby strap bracelet

Designed as a wide articulated strap composed of polished scale-like links, each highlighted by circular cut rubies, centring upon a stylised buckle motif pave-set with circular cut rubies of a slightly pink hue. Mounted in 18k pink gold. French import marks. 

This bracelet is shown in the Mauboussin book by Marguerite de Cerval p147 as having an identical one in their archive.
